Event Details

BSides is a community driven unconference built for and by information security community members.  The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time.  It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration.Pariuri Mozzart It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.

Security BSides Austin will take a blended approach, leveraging the best of traditional conferences and unconferences. Our workspace will be divided into two different areas: one for traditional presentations and one for breakout sessions (including the "cone of silence" zone). We will also facilitate ad hoc "lightning" talks during the event as people express interest.

The traditional track will draw on talks submitted and prepared ahead of time, while the breakout discussions track will commence in an unconference style, facilitated on-site the morning of the conference. You can submit your traditional talks on the BSides Austin Talks page. Otherwise, please bring talks, ideas, topics, and anything else you'd like to talk with you first thing in the morning.

We look forward to seeing you at this exciting and evolving security happening!
